Classroom Valentine’s Day Cards

“For you see, each day I love you more Today more than yesterday and less than tomorrow.”
~Rosemonde Gerard

In the past I have purchased the typical classroom Valentine’s day cards for my child but this year I decided to do something a little different.

I took an image I made for my daughter’s second birthday and turned it into classroom Valentine’s Day cards by adding text. I got wallet sized images printed at my favorite local lab and wrote in each child’s name. I used to do this for my son’s birthday party invitations. I would use an image of him, add the necessary information and print it out on card stock. It was more personal that way and I liked it.

Which image would you keep long past Valentine’s Day? A typical card from Walmart or a card made of an image of your classmate?

And for the fun of it, here’s a quote for all my cynics:

I don’t understand why Cupid was chosen to represent Valentine’s Day. When I think about romance, the last thing on my mind is a short, chubby toddler coming at me with a weapon 🙂 ~Author Unknown
