Documenting My Sunday Morning | South Florida Photographer

I woke up February 7, 2016 and decided I was going to photograph my morning as it unfolded. I love documenting my family because  I want my kids to have images they can look at and remember how things were. I want them to be able to sit around the living room and show their children how we were as a family.

I still have images that my father made when I was younger and images of when my parents were younger. I hope to one day gather those images and put them in an album in hopes that my children’s children will cherish them for generations to come. I’ve always been a little upset that I don’t know any of my family members past my grandparents and I don’t want that for my lineage. I would like my children to have a sense of family history. How we looked, how we laughed, how we loved, how we disagreed; you can’t get those emotions from posed images. How can a posed image evoke a memory that was long forgotten. You can only get them being authentically you as a person and as a family unit.

The images from this slideshow will remind my family and I of:

how my daughter liked to put on lotion…

how she liked to suck her thumb…

the drama of playing tea with my daughter…

the love between my daughter and my son…

and our first apartment as a family.

Happy viewing!!!
